Can a trend line be set for specific periods - i.e. excluding last 5 period on a graph?

On a 24 month graph of opportunities bid conversion ratio (Win/Bid) I want to measure the trend line of the conversion rate of Bids. However I know that it takes 5 months for bids to convert so want to exclude last 5 months data points for the trend calculation. Is there another way to do this besides excluding the last 5 months worth of data?

How do I compare data that has two date fields on one date axis in a graph. For example as bid date and orders accepted date. In excel I create a new date field to allow me to do this and then reference the as bid and orders accepted amounts to it.

The date are held as two date fields - as bid date and orders accepted date

Dates	Mar-12	Apr-12	May-12	Jun-12
Orders Accepted $M	$0.004 M	$0.632 M	$0.169 M	$0.418 M
Opportunities bid $M	$6.142 M	$1.048 M	$0.802 M	$1.562 M
