Moving Average with User Input Dates

Hello all,

Im learning tableau. I searched the forums for a similar solution but unable to find a solution that works for me.

Basically I want to take the attached example ( from http://www.tableausoftware.com/table-calculations) and make a small modification.

I just want to be able to select a range of dates( start,end) and then compare the stock to the average stock during (start,end).

Seems very simple but unable to get it to work. The current example only allows you to compare to a specific date. I want to average out a user specified date range and then compare the stock to that average. I dont want any restrictions on it like last 30 days or 6 months. The user should be able to pick whatever date range they want. Any suggestions?
