Dashboard action to exclude seletion rather than keep only?

I've been fighting with filtering on a dashboard for days. I need to make each sheet on the dashboard filter the others to exclude a selection, not keep only what's selected. I talked to colleagues and showed them my work. One recommended a dashboard action to filter all sheets on all sheets; the other recommended adding "Use as Filter" on each sheet. Both had the same outcome -- to keep only what is selected. I need to do the opposite though -- exclude what's selected. My consumers will need to be able to pick any of the dots in the scatter plot and exclude them from the set, whether it's the ugly outlier or one of the nicely grouped dots. I've attached the workbook. Note that there's also a parameter to select which set of charts appears. Whichever is seleted, the intention is that they behave exactly the same way.

Is it possible to edit reference line and trend line tooltips?

Is it possible to edit trend line and reference line tooltips? My consumers are not going to understand what a "whisker" is. I'd also like to add average. Or alternatively, can I hide the reference line tooltip entirely? Thanks in advance!

word searches using parameter vs filter

I am building keyword searching into a dashboard and can't figure out why the results are different when I use a parameter control vs. a wildcard filter. I've attached a stripped down sample workbook that demonstrates. Both are using identical datasets -- one is an exact copy of the other but published to our server. It seems that the parameter control provides more accurate results, but it doesn't allow the "display all when blank" option -- a very nice feature of the wildcard filter.

Why is this? Is there a way to get the accuracy of the parameter control with the display all capability of the wildcard filter?
