It would be great that Tableau Server can searh in all the metadata contained in a published Data Connection

Mdx Parameter

Hi everyone!

I was trying to create a dynamic TopCount connected to SQL Analysis Services.

I have a parameter (Param_A) with the possible months values, and I also have created a calculated member (Member_A) that gives me the sales value for a specific month.

What I want to do is to create a dynamic topcount of products by choosing the month on wich the topcount of sales will be calculated.

So, Param_A will "feed" Member_A, so that an mdx expression could be built and then execute the query.

But in the Calculated Members window I can't associate the parameter value with my MDX.

Does Tableau server searches in the Data Source Metadata

Hi everyone!

I have a simple question, I've created my DataSource Model with all it's metadata for each field ("Field Properties -> Comment").

Is it possible for Tableau Server to search for this metadata on each DataSource?

For example I want to search in wich calculation I used the field "Sales", wich was commented on the Field properties?
