Date Range Slider Filter Within Dashboards

I hope someone can help me.

I am building dashboards that show information over a long period of time. A requirement is that I am able to filter that information for a pre-determined date range. Can you help me add a date range slider to a dashboard that a user can interact with when using the dashboard that will filter the content to only show the data within the time period required.

I have a client running Tableau 7 who relies on a monthly data extract from me. Is it possible to use Tableau v7 to view the data created by me using v8 ?

Charting - Relative Movements

I am charting the change in value or a dimension over time. The dimension has several constituents. I am looking for a way to graph the relative move of each of the constituants over time. I would like to rebase them all to 1 at the start of the time period and see how each has moved on a relative basis over a set period of time.

Worksheet Calculations and Filters

I am building a worksheet looking at client commissions from multiple global regions. I have a dimension called client (which contains all clients), a dimension called region of trade (this contains, Europe US and Asia) and two measures, basis points paid and $cents per share received. Both of the measures are calculated fields using various other measures.

Within the same worksheet I want to be able to dispaly only $cents per share if the region = USA and only basis points paid if the region does not equal USA.

I cant think of an easy way to do this so I was hoping someone might be able to help.
