Hi ,
There was a schedule platfor maintenance update in windows 2016 server which requires a restart of the server .
After the restart the Tableau services are unable to start up even after trying several time .
What could be the cause of it ?
How to make the services start up automatically in case of such maintenance ??

Hi,
Usually these services automatically starts after the server restart, if not you can manually restart as you have tried.
Try Restarting the windows server again. if problem continues...
I think with the server upgrade file system has been changed that's why you get this error.

Hello Kunal,
This is a configuration issue ,Path need to be changed in registry editor.
Please find the path of services.exe in tableau server folder, it should be same as path of respective service in registry editor.
Request windows team to deal with it,wrong update in registry editor will affect whole machine.

How to check or change the configuration in registry .
I matched the registry setting for test environment where tableau is up and running and checked in production environment where i am facing problem but could not figure it out .
Can you guide on how to change configuration in registry for tableau ?

Computer hkey local machine--> system--> current control set -->services then Image path on right hand side pane --> Modify
