Dynamically count active Users of the last 12 month

    Magdalena Noeth

      Hello!

I have a data-set which describes user activity and looks like this:

      timestamp
      User_uuid
      order_uuid
      2016-10-0121
      2017-03-1552
      2017-05-0123
      2017-10-2387
      2017-12-30810
      2018-06-01256

So there are a couple of Users who order more often and a couple of Users who only order once.

Now my goal is to calculate the number of active Users over time. For our purposes I define active User=someone who ordered in the last 12 month.

Example:      On 2017-10-23 the number of distinct active Users would be 3.

On 2018-06-10 the number of distinct active Users would be 2.

I already tried so many different calculated fields/LOD expressions/.... but I don't get it to do what I want.

So I would be super happy to get input on that one.

I will also try to attach an example workbook during the day.

      Thanks in advance, Lena
