Question - Creating KPI - Summing multiple individual queries

    Ted Dolore

I have multiple queries from different tables, some have the same fields, some don't. I'll be using SQL queries to pull from our warehouse.

      Eg.

Three different tables with sample fields:

Technology - fields such as price, product, version

Furniture - fields such as price, product, brand

Kitchenware - fields such as price, product

The queries are doing a check to see if the fields are NULL, if it is, I set it to output as 1.

Is there a way to sum the total number and have tableau spit out 1 number, planning on showing this on a dashboard. Basically if tables Furniture and Kitchenware  both have a NULL in the field price then that should show up as 2.

Welcome all suggestions! Hope this makes sense
