It's not as straightforward as you might like.

I actually made a second sheet and shoved it under the actual data sheet on a dashboard.  All you see of that second sheet are those labels.

Tableau works from top down compartmentalizing the dimensions.  I can't find another way to do it.

If you are OK with that, it's attached.  This will work OK if you don't have to have a horizontal scrollbar.  If you need the scrollbar, you won't get the two sheets to scroll together in unison.

It's attached to the reply, and you'll need to get it from the website, not from your email.

I just dragged a BLANK object floated over the part I wanted to hide.  (I could have used a container as well.

In addition, I selected a white color for the object so that it became opaque.  With no color, it is clear, and the underlying stuff still shows through.  If your dashboard background is some other color, you will want to choose that color rather than white.
