Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry pairing compassionate people with children living in extreme poverty to release the children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. We've got a job posting for a Business Intelligence Analyst. Please apply if interested: Compassion International
Excerpt from the job posting:
Do you love working with data? Do you want to be on the cutting edge of new data, tools, analyses, and dashboards that will be used in National Offices and regions around the world to improve program? Do you want to be a part of a global team that works hard and has fun doing it?
We’re looking for someone who loves to learn, is passionate about using data to tell stories, and is excited to be a part of a multi-cultural global team. Our team has relationships with Business Analysts and Monitoring & Evaluation Specialists in every country in which Compassion serves, and we support key goals of Global Program through data analyses. We work together to model a healthy metrics culture, sharpen each other’s analytical skills, and encourage the development of each team member.
Okay, you’ve read this far, let’s talk about you.
Key Skills: Data analysis should excite you. You should care about the quality of data, the nuances of mining and cleaning data, and how this data connects to our organization’s mission. Telling stories with data visually should get you fired up. Having the opportunity to build relationships with people from 25+ cultures should make you smile.
Key Tools: We’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable of SQL, Tableau, and other data manipulation tools. Equally important, we’re looking for someone who is curious, innovative and has a love for learning.
Location: We don’t care so much where you work. Where you work is far less important to us than how you work. But know that we will make a concerted effort to bring our whole team together in person at various points throughout the year.
Final Point: We’re fast-paced, energetic, passionate about what we do, and we have lots to do! It’s good work, and it’s not going to be easy. But then again—we’re not in the business of easy. Releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name is too critical for that. So, if what you’ve read excites you, please apply. We’re looking for you.
