How to creating a linked workbook?

    Tableau Portal Fenix Intl

      Hi,

In sql reporting services, one can create a report and publish it in a folder. There after if the same report is needed by individuals who have access to a different folder but not the current folder, a link to this report can be created in the different folder such that any updates to the original report are translated to the linked copy automatically without administrative intervention.

Is there a way to link on workbook to another in tableau online without double publishing/copying?

I had to redo folder permissions as follows for it to work.

          1. MOST IMPORTANT. Removed all user groups permission settings from the default folder and Set all All users to none, none, none.

          2. Locked permissions for each folders (folder contents set to have permissions of the folder). This had the downside of over writing permissions of some workbooks in their respective folders which needed a different permission setting as compared to the folder.

          3. Set reasonable/scaleable permission settings for each folder.
