Edit dimension column aliases

Hi All,

How do I add aliase to a dimension column value in Tableau 2018.2? I'm able to do for a measure column but not for dimension.

In Tableau 10.4, I used to have this option when I right click on a dimension value. Guess this has changed now.

Any help is much appreciated.

good morning

this is how I change them - but if you are coming from some d/b's you may not be able to use alias - it will be grayed out

Nothing changed.
Guessing you are trying to add aliases to the data source which is already published on server?

Duplicate that field on workbook, and you can change that aliases.
