Check the difference in one column (dimension) from start of quarter and quarter to date

    James Lin

Let's say I have two reports

      1. A static report from the start of the quarter that never changes

      2. A dynamic report that I refresh every single day

Both reports are pulled from the same location with the same columns however report number 2 is live data. I ultimately want to compare if any orders that were included from the start of the quarter have moved to lost. ,

Is there a way to mark a row with a true or false if it has changed between report #1 and report #2?

Examples of the two datasets below

      Report 1 (static)

      IdOrder ItemPrice
      StatusHeader 5Header 6Header 7Header 8Header 9Header 10Header 11
      1Apples2Open
      2Oranges4Open

Report 2 (dynamic aka the same as above but could have changed)

      IdOrder ItemPrice
      StatusHeader 5Header 6Header 7Header 8Header 9Header 10Header 11
      1Apples2Lost
      2Oranges4Open

What I want is a new column after status that says true or false if the status has changed from Open to Lost.

I've done some googling and have seen there are SQL queries but those were quite old and was wondering if there was a new way of doing this.
