yearly trend line for average items per order

    Maciej Bedlin

Hi I have a field with number of packages per shipment and number of shipment per month

I need to produce trend line how many items was ordered per order across the year (filtered by customer by customer manually)

I'm trying too calculate the average using formula below

          SUM([Shipped_Packages])/COUNTD([S_XID])

The results are nowhere close where I was expecting them...

from monthly graph for October I can see the average at just under 40 mark

and when using my calculation for the year:

same month is marked at around 100 mark?

            Good morning

I'm a little confused - in your original post you said you have a field  "packages per shipment"

and another field   "number of shipment per month"

In you second post your formula  "SUM([Shipped_Packages])/COUNTD([S_XID])"

looks at total packages shipped divided by total shipments  - how did you convert the  "packages per shipment" (which sounds like and average)

from the first post to total packages shipped?

            Jim
