Can you please attach sample data or workbook.
i can explain you further but cant attach worksheet here because it is client sensitive data.
you can ask your doubts to me.
No Sharad ,this is not my query that how to apply a filter on multiple sheets, that i know.
here my problem is when i select the option on filters that show only relevant data then it shows for one sheet and display "no items" for other sheets under same filter even though data is present.
That is interesting. If you have same data source, there should be such issue.
Can you ensure that there are no action filters on the worksheet (the one showing no items)?
Can you add few more dimensions to the worksheet (the one showing no items) and check if the filters works?
Vijay; as mentioned this is difficult to diagnose without a sample. Can you draw up a quick idea of what you want using Superstore data and attach as a twbx?
I run into the "no items" issue whenever downstream, "chained" filters have limited the view.
Consider we are looking at Region, State, City, where State and City use relevant data.
If I choose my Region as Central and City as Ann Arbor (skipping State, entirely), I'll see I get "Michigan" as the lone choice for State. That looks good!
But if I now change my Region to South (leaving the City as Ann Arbor), I get the "no items" error for State. This is because "Ann Arbor" is still active in the filter chain, even though it does not exist for any Region except Central.
The resolution to your problem, therefore, may be clearing all filters before re-filtering. Does this help?
