Do a backup, that's the easiest answer.
What is the purpose, why do you want to do this?

2. Re: How to schedule and download dashboards/extract data
Ranga Reddy P Nov 26, 2018 7:05 AM (in response to Toby Erkson)I wanted to download the extracted data of one dashboard with calculated fields and parameters to be used by other dashboards wherever possible. To reduce the extraction time and calculation fields logic, so that it can be used for the new dashboard without wasting time in creating all of them again.

It sounds like you would simply use a single published data source (only it gets refreshed) that would feed the various workbooks. Have you tried this route? If so, what expectations did it not meet?
