I don't know what you mean by "create a path".
Do you mean something like this?
Profit and Sales are two measures in the data. Measure Names is effectively doing the pivot/unpivot/transpose operation and giving us a fake "dimension" that we can use for laying out the view. v2018.1 workbook is attached.
Thank you for your reply.
I have a different scenario. I have a scatterplot with sales and profit and I want to see the path when it is compared to Net sales and Net profit.
I have attached a sample of what I want to do.
Steps I used :
1. duplicated the orders dataset with a union
2. created a measure for the path dimension : called MovementPath:
IF RIGHT([Table Name], 1) = 's' then 'A'
3. created two measures for the movement path desired:
when 'A' then ([Sales] )
when 'B' then ([Net Sales])
Profit with path
when 'A' then ([Profit] )
when 'B' then ([Net Profit])
4. the scatter plot uses ProfitWithPath and SalesWithPath and then I use the MovementPath measure to create the path.
I am hoping I can achieve the same without having to union the data.
