Hi Daniel, welcome to the Triangle. I don't know of anyone - it is on my to-do list, but I'm studying Alteryx at the moment. (Edited previous post - I see that this was posted to Raleigh TUG.)
Also, Wake Tech has an Intro to Visualization course that is a beginner Tableau and analytics class rolled into one. If you reach out to the program director (may still be Dr. Shah) there may be a study group.
yes we talked. We are trying to work with the Alteryx folks to spin back up the Alteryx User Group here in Raleigh. They are 2 pieces of software and communities that work well with each other.
Hope to see you in December (www.2018q4rdutug.splashthat.com)
Cheers Donna, will definitely look into that, but i'm also interested in Alteryx as well
Hi Daniel - I am a Desktop Qualified Associate currently - received this summer. Did you have specific questions?
Would like to know how you went about the whole process if it's not too much to ask.
Sure! Personally I did not take the prep courses...as I've been a Tableau user for about 4 years. So I downloaded the exam prep guide and went thru the practice questions as well as went through the topic guide to brush up on anything I didn't use regularly, especially if they were new features on the version I was testing for that I had not yet used. Then I registered for a remote test, scheduled and logged on on the day of my virtual proctored exam.
