I have limited experience with WDC's, but since no one's responded, I'll take a shot at this one.
Any chance this might help? It's not exactly the same, but perhaps these timeout values might control that as well: https://kb.tableau.com/articles/issue/error-extract-timeout
Another thought is that your source system may be triggering the timeout. Can you check with the provider to see if they have any limitations?
Thanks a lot. I tried increasing the timeout on the Tableau Desktop but that did not reflect. The connection closed at 4:0 mins.
Also on the source system we do not really have any timeout. Its a simple http request/response.
Did you get a chance to figure this out? We ran into the same timeout issue yesterday and we are stuck.
