Running Minimum for a column within a table

    Viktor Lyuts

      Dear Tableau community,

Looking for a way to find minimum in a particular column of a table. Please see the example data set below

      Item TypeItemDate
      SimpleA1
      SimpleB2
      SimpleC3
      ComplexD4
      ComplexE5
      ComplexF6
      ComplexG7

Minimum should return 1 and I can get that by fixed calculation across the board

But then if I filter by either Item Type or Item itself

      Item TypeItemDate
      SimpleA1
      SimpleB2
      SimpleC3

Minimum in this case is 1 as well, and fixed calculation work

but if I do some "weird" filtering which will give me the table below, I don't know how to get the minimum

      TypeItemDate
      SimpleB2
      ComplexD4
      ComplexE5
      ComplexF6
      ComplexG7

The minimum should be 2, but with fixed calculation across the table I still get 1 which is wrong

Probably it's simple table calculation, but I just don't get it

Thank you a lot in advance.
