    Epimaco Daniel Garcia

      Hi,

Does anyone here know how to get the selected item of a filter.

I'm planning to place the selected item in the title....

      Thanks,

      Mackie

                Hello,

You can follow same process for date also, but if you are selecting more than 3/4 dates then your title will look clumsy. So, you can make date filter as single value.

                  Hi all,

The replies that you gave me is all correct. It works when the filter is not in date ranges.

Is it possible to get the start and end date for the date range filter so as I can place it in my tittle?

                    Hi Daniel,

                    1. In the Data window, click the drop-down arrow at the top right of Dimensions, and then select Create > Parameter.
                    2. In the Create Parameter dialog box, name the parameter. In the example workbook, the parameter is named Start Date.
                    3. Under Data Type, select Date.
                    4. Under Allowable values, select Range.
                    5. Click Set from Field and select the date field. In the example workbook, the date field is named Order Date.
                    6. Click OK.
                    7. Right-click the Start Date parameter and then select Show Parameter Control.
                    8. Repeat steps 1-7 to create the End Date parameter.
