Thank you for your reply.
Basicaly it is just a button for a calculated field that has calc "Reset Filters".
Sorry in advance I am a new user and my explanations are not good.
I would like to enclose a workbook that uses the Sample Superstore Sales to explain what I mean.
I have a dashboard that has 3 charts, City, Product Category and State. Each of them can be used to filter the other two. I want the Reset button on the dashboard to return to all values after drilling down on one or two of the charts.
Please note that one chart (City) has a filter applied to it, so the action of the Reset Button should be to show all values for Product Category and State but for State show just its one filter applied (to exclude one city).
How do we attach files?
Many thanks for your reply. I am enclosing an attachment.
On the Dashboard I want the user to be able to click on any of City / Product Category / State (3 dimensions) and then when the reset button is clicked, it goes back to showing all values for all 3 dimensions (without any highlights as well).
Sorry again for my late reply.
Please try the following steps,
1. In dashboard actions "Category", "City", "Filter 1 (generated)", remove worksheet "Reset" from target.
2. In dashboard action "Reset", change "Product Category" to "Product Sub-Category" in selected field.
3. (Optional) In worksheet "Reset", remove the auto generated filters begin with "Action". This step is not necessary, but it'll be better to make the worksheet clean.
The workbook is attached.
