Set background color dynamically in table

    Orlando Peralta

      Hi

      I have a table with 5 rows

      1) Zone

      2) Start Date: Date when the work in the zone should start

      3) Real Start Date: Date when the work in the zone actually started

      4) End Date: Date when the work in the zone should end

      5) Real End Date: Date when the work in the zone actually ended

I want set background color of Real Start Date and Real End Date columns when the Start Date and End Date are previous (respectively)

I attach the worbook, the excel data source and an example image

If someone can help me, I´ll be grateful

          Hello,

Dynamic formatting isn't possible for the Dimensions, only Measures. What I usually do on such request is to use Bar Chart to fill the cell with Color Marks Calculated field.

There is some cons of this tweak such as:

-not able to individually resize Colum contents (All columns have the same width)

-Header is on Bottom, so need to have another sheet for the headers

I'm Sharing the modified Tableau dashboard with a solution. (done on 2018.x but Export as 10.4, so should be good to open with this version and up)

          Regards
