# YOY Growth \$ & % when there are no Sales in the Current or Previous year

Hi All,

I’m having trouble calculating YOY Growth Rates when there are
no Sales in the previous year.  In addition,  If there are no Sales in the current year, I
get blanks rather than zeros.

• Current Sales = sum(if year([Fiscal of Inv Date])=[Curent year] then [Sales] end)
• Previous Sales = sum(if year([Fiscal of Inv Date])=([Curent year]-1) then [Sales] end)
• Growth % = [Growth \$]/zn([Previous Sales])
• Growth \$ = zn([Current Sales])-zn([Previous Sales])

I’m sure it is something simple that I cannot seem to figure out.

Any help would be appreciated.
