Thank you for your quick response. That is close but I actually have a wildcard of files I will bring in. So SAMPE_%.xls. After SAMPLE will be the date. So in there I will need the date. Not sure if the example you show worked because you selected multiple files. Every day I get a new file so I will have a schedule process to grab the existing and the new file from yesterday. So a daily file load.

It does, And that would work for date. But in the connections I had to select the daily files. Are you saying everyday I have to select a new file? I want it is to grab all files that are in the folder. Everyday there will be a new one. I want this automated so I do add a new file everyday and a new union everyday. I am new to prep.
In Qlik I would do Load * From sample_*.xls
