I'm hacking this off the top of my head, so some debugging may be necessary.
If [Param] = "YoY" then
if [YoY comparison] < 0 then "red" else "Green" end
elseif [Param] = "Y vs Plan" then
if [YvsPlan comparison] < 0 then "red" else "Green" end
Put that on colors. Set your colors accordingly.
I'm assuming you are using the param to display only one measure at a time. Correct?
Appreciate your quick response. Yes, I'm only using parameter to display one measure at a time. The formula you posted is assuming that?
So when the param is set to something other than the two ratios, you'll get black (or whatever you set it to) for our fonts. And red or green for the two ratios.
According to your note, here's the formula I used. How do I specify a specific value from the parameter? The error I'm getting is "Reference to undefined field (2018 vs PY)". It's not recognizing the two parameter values that I want to specify as green or red.
IF [Parameters].[Period]="2018 vs PY" THEN
IF [2018 vs PY]<0 THEN "RED" ELSE "GREEN" END
ELSEIF [Parameters].[Period]="2018 vs Plan" THEN
IF [2018 vs Plan]<0 THEN "RED" ELSE "GREEN" END
You're supposed to plug in your actual field names there. One is the Year over Year calc, and the other is the Year vs Plan calc.
Got it! That seemed to have worked! Thanks so much Joe, really appreciate the help!
