Creating a taller table by bringing common fields together

    Jasim Ansari

I am in a situation where I would like to build concise table from a large column table by bringing common fields together. More like a transpose but for specific columns.

      [EDIT]

         Example Data:

      Other ValuesValuesCode_1
      Code_2
      Code_3Code_4SubCode_1SubCode_2SubCode_3SubCode_4
      Time_1Time_2Time_3Time_4
      ...1948383Z13
      ...200951695Y16Y1512
      ...2201112131411A12B13C14D1234

This is what I expect as Output in order to proceed further for my viz:

      Other ValuesValuesCodes
      Times
      ..1948313
      ..194
      ..194
      ..194
      ..19483Z13
      ..194
      ..194
      ..194
      ..2009515
      ..2001612
      ..200
      ..200
      ..20095A15
      ..20016Y12
      ..200
      ..200
      ..220111
      ..220122
      ..220133
      ..220144
      ..22011A1
      ..22012B2
      ..22013C3
      ..22014D4

The intuition behind the dataset is that Code_i and Subcode_i has the same value i.e. Time_i (where i=1,2,3,4). For instance, Code_1 and SubCode_1 share the same Time_1 value.

I am aware this is a pivot feature but I cant seem to be grasp it to work for this situation.

      Thanks
      JAsim
