Just to double-check - you aren't part of the pre-release program or in any way have access to a beta of a newer version, right? If this was saved in a newer/beta version, I might expect a similar error message, albeit not with the reference to those versions. I don't see anything in the known issues about this, so a support case may be your best bet.
correct! I'm not part of any pre-release program
I will open a case... I was hoping for a workaround as it's a very important flow that I was working on... upgrade yesterday to 2018.2.2 ... and now getting this error message.
I already tried uninstall and also reinstall previous version ... no success. Frustrated here that I decided to upgrade the version while working on something important.
