      Hi

I am having the hardest time with this problem.  I cannot attach my data spreadsheet as it is sensitive. But I have bunch of groups (ABC, DEF, GHI, JKL) and there are participants (eg. 5) that either belong to these groups or do not. See table below.

      IDABCDEFGHIJKL

      1

      null

      null

      GHI

      JKL
      2

      ABC

      DEFnullnull
      3nullDEFnullnull
      4nullnullGHIJKL
      5nullnullnullJKL

All I want is a dot plot. x-axis should contain name of groups, and y-axis should contain ticks such as 1, 2, 3... etc. And if GHI has 2 participants, there should be 2 dots above its marker, if JKL has 3 participants, it should have 3 dots above its marker and so on. I have 88 participants and 175 groups. I really do not know the best way to visualize this, but the name of each group is important, and how many people belong to each group. Can tableau even do this? What is the best way to visualize this information.

Note, instead of strings, I had a spreadsheet with numbers (0,1) 0 if the person belongs, 1 if the person doesn't. This doesn't help me either.
