    Can't get full options for Calculated Fields

      I'm brand-new to Tableau. I'm trying to create a calculated field, using Tableau 10.5 on local install with an Excel workbook live connection. I'm working off of Pluralsight's instructional videos to try to work with Calculated Fields, but am immediately running into problems. Is there a Tableau for Dummies extra setting I'm missing in my setup or something? Please help me, trying to learn this and would like to eventually master it, and not being able to write a simple calculated field is frustrating.

       

      1) Don't have "Calculated field" option on right click menu - the left screenshot below is from Pluralsight instructional video, the right is mine

       

      2) When I use Analysis>Calculated field to get to the same functionality, it just gives me a blank dialog box, whereas Pluralsight shows tons of formula options - the left screenshot below is from Pluralsight instructional video, the right is mine
