Calculation from two filtered metrics from two separate data sources

    Charles Todd

      Hello!

I need some help with a table calculation in Tableau.

I am trying to calculate a "Close Ratio" (Close Ratio = #Items Sold / #Quotes). The problem is the numerator and the denominator come from two very different data sources. While I can recognize what needs to be done, Tableau is finding it difficult.

      The vision:

In one data sheet, I can find how many ITEMS a given SALES PERSON had for a given PRODUCT on a given DAY.

In another data sheet (unrelated - columns are different and data is stored a little differently), I can find how many QUOTES a given SALES PERSON had for a given PRODUCT on a given DAY.

These pieces of information are stored in separate data sources because QUOTES and SALES are very different (Different Clients with different INFORMATION because one data page is for the Client we are currently working with and the other data page is for prospective clients).

I need to create a calculation that will allow me to do this (Close Ratio = #Items Sold / #Quotes). Is this possible at all?

      Thank you for your help!
