Not sure of directly adding filter to title ,but there is a workaround.
I have used super store data-set.
Created two work sheet.
1. this will have values that you want to show in title.
2. This will have the actual chart.
3. Drag both on a dashboard and use 1st sheet as "act as filter".
as shown below:
Drag both on dashboard
Yeah you can do that just put the calculated field you want in the title on the details shelf and then double click the title and go to the insert part of the box and you should be able to add the field.
Tamisha -- Are you saying you want the user to have the capability to click on the orange text, "Still Active" and that would filter the sheet to have just "Still Active" rows? (And if the user cleared that click, then the sheet would go back to all rows.) Likewise the blue "Closed" string would filter the sheet to contain data only for Closed rows?
Is that the behavior you are after?
I can think of a way to do that. it wouldn't work exactly how you envision it. But you could have a mini sheet with those two columns, and float it on your dashboard over the larger data sheet's title. Using a SELECT filter action, clicking on one or the other value would then filter the data sheet.
this is exact behavior I'm looking for. I'll try your suggestion and see how it works.
thanks Meenu, I'll try this as well!
Please let me know whether the solution helped to resolved your problem or not.
this worked perfectly. thanks Joe!
