    VizAlerts owner left company, now emails aren't being sent...

      Hi All,

       

      We have had a simple daily dashboard being sent to the entire office (some with tableau server access, some without).  The owner of the dashboard and VizAlert Workbooks left the company and once his license was deactivated, the emails stopped being sent.  This is my first foray into VizAlerts and I can't figure out how to get things going again.  Any suggestions?

          Yes, that's by design. You will need to:

           

          1. Transfer the workbooks they built their alert on to someone else

           

          2. Re-create the VizAlerts subscriptions the former employee has on these workbooks. Make sure you pick the same schedule and views. If they created them on customized views, then you'll need to replicate those as well.

           

          3. Once you've validated that they are working again, remove the former employee's subscriptions.
