# Up and Down Arrows -

I added a formula for my up and down arrows but it is not recognizing the 0 Data - Example Feb 18th should be a down arrow - Is there something wrong with my formulas.

IF avg([SLA Attainment]) = 0 THEN 'No change'

ELSEIF avg([SLA Attainment]) - LOOKUP(avg([SLA Attainment]), 1) <= 0 THEN "Down"

ELSEIF avg([SLA Attainment]) - LOOKUP(avg([SLA Attainment]), 1) >= 0 THEN "Up"

ELSE "Same"

END

Hi Lisa,

Is that what you wanted?

You just need to apply the data addressing and data partitioning like this for your color and shape marks

Let us know if this help.

Hi Lisa

see the attached

I got a little confused on the Up and Down - Did you want "if the current value is less than the past month then Down?

well that is what I wrote

Also Need to tes the Null in the current month to get the down and sort out where the = signs go in the inequalities

It returns this

Hi Lisa,

One of the things I noticed is how your dates are arranged from Most Recent (Left side) to Oldest (Right side) but the arrows are being computed across from Left (Most Recent) to Right (Oldest) when I think your expectation might be from Oldest to Most Recent?

That might also be a part of the issue you're trying to resolve...?

Thx, Don

I guess I may be a little lost I have changed both calculations and it did not change -  Did I do something wrong?

• ###### 5. Re: Up and Down Arrows -

You're almost there. Just change the color of the arrows marks. Down might be showing as green color you need to change it to red

• ###### 6. Re: Up and Down Arrows -

Well that is the other issue - They have met the SLA mark for everything else but that one area - Hence the other arrows are green. I dont think I can change just 1 arrow - If there is a way that would be wonderful

Hi Lisa,

Instead of using Date string dimension you can used Date field and use Month Year datevalue and sort it in desc order as per your requirement.

then set the data partitioning as per below screenshot
