# How to build double calcualtion

Hi All,

I have created two calculation: "Q3 MGT DA\$" and "Q3 Last Cycle\$"

Formulas are below and the result is correct:

Q3 MGT DA\$:

ZN(IF str(DATEPART('year',[Fiscal Quarter] ))= '2018' AND str(DATEPART('quarter',[Fiscal Quarter] )) ='3'

THEN [\$ Ship Final Act-Fcst]

END)

Q3 Last Cycle\$:

ZN(IF str(DATEPART('year',[Fiscal Quarter] ))= '2018' AND str(DATEPART('quarter',[Fiscal Quarter] )) ='3'

THEN [\$ Last Cycle Published Ship Fcst]

END)

I want to create another filed which is:

Q3 Changes\$:

sum([Q3 MGT DA\$])-sum([Q3 Last Cycle\$])

but the result is not correct, then I used fixed methodology it is still not correct:

{ FIXED [Region],[GL Country Group],[Product Category],[Product Family],[Product Line], [SKU]: sum([Q3 MGT DA\$])-sum([Q3 Last Cycle\$])}

Thanks,

Helen

Helen,

You are an old Contributor now and are aware of that a packaged sample would solve your problem instantly. So Can you pl spare some time to create it with fake data.

Thanks

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

Thank you for the reply. I have two questions:

1. How to create continues Time Series Data?

2. When I shall choose to used the {Fixed {},{},...}? It seems to me that, when I use fixed, the calculation down to the details level is correct, while when I aggregate it up, it is wrong then.

Thanks,

Helen
