Tableau Active Directory issue using @ in username

    aj.g

I connected my Tableau Server to an AD server for user identity store. I can successfully add users to my AD with a @ in their usernames, even if that user is not in the domain specified following the @ symbol. Ex: "test@mycompany.com" in domain "localtest". However, I cannot add these users to my Tableau server because Tableau parses the username a little differently. Any suggestions? Getting error:

ERROR com.tableausoftware.api.webclient.util.BatchedActionExecutor - Exception raised by call target for key [test@mycompany.com]: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: DNS name not found [response code 3]; remaining name '_ldap._tcp.mycompany.com' (errorCode=100081)
