    Working with multiple date fields

      Hello,

I've been looking for an answer to this in the forums but can't find one. I have a dataset such as below:

Reference      Date Y Expected    Date Y Received     Date Created     Date X received

      1234                    01/06/2018          23/06/2018               01/04/2018          15/05/2018

      1234                    01/06/2018          23/06/2018               01/04/2018          15/05/2018

      1234                    01/06/2018          23/06/2018               01/04/2018          15/05/2018

      1235                    09/09/2018               null                      10/04/2018           10/05/2018

      1236                         null                       null                      01/05/2018               null

      1237                    10/08/2018          20/07/2018               20/04/2018            21/04/2018

I need a line graph that has the dates on the x axis and that shows for each week, one line for how many of "Y" were expected and another line for how many of "Y" were received each week in different colours.

In Tableau the only thing I have managed to do is to create a dual axis with both date fields in columns and add COUNTD(Reference) to rows, but since Reference is the same field I get two lines with the same colour and it is difficult to tell them apart. Tried changing one to bars but with them being the same colour it is still difficult to read. Also tried pivoting the dates but that doesn't allow me to work with two different date fields on the same graph since I have to filter one or the other.

As you can see I have loads of date fields in this dataset for different things so also wanted to know if you have any tips for working with something like this.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks!
