Would you mind helping to convert the file to 10.4.5 or below version? I cannot open the file because of file version.
The Month is date field, not a column contains 12 months name.
After I set the Month to discrete, the graph shows as below. The line still cannot link if there is no record in db.
For example, DB contains Feb 2016 and May 2016 data. But it does not contain Mar & Apr 2016 data. It is possible to set the value to 0 in these case (e.g. Mar & Apr 2016)?
I'm having this same issue and I can't seem to find a resolution. I've tried everything that was recommended.
Hi Clint. First make sure you are using discrete dates and have checked the option for 'Show Missing Values' on the date pill. Then create a calculated field along the lines of:
IF ISNULL(sum([Profit])) THEN 0
Replace all Sum([Profit]) references with this new calculation.
Here is an example:
Thanks for your reply Shane. I apologize since I didn't provide enough detail in the post. Here's a screenshot of what's going on. The cut off rows are user names and the bar graph and total represent total number of test cases. This is only part of a dashboard.
My intent is to show a 0 value for users that had no test cases for a given time period.
What I neglected to mention is that I'm not showing the date for it to have an axis is the problem?
Not sure if this will work or not. I believe if you create a calculated field like this:
IF ISNULL(SUM([# Of Test Cases]))
ELSE SUM([# Of Test Cases])
Then place this field on the label it should work. This should work with any calculation as it is just saying IF [value is NULL] THEN make value zero instead.
yeah, I tried that as well. See though, it's not a null value for a user, there's just no records for them for that time span so it's just blank, not null.
also, in the data source there's a user table joined to a view. The view having all of the other data. The way the view is built, if a user had no test cases on a certain date, there is just no data for that user in the view.
It's joined on user id.
I suppose my other option is to re-write the view to include a 0 value for that user for that date.
Thank you for your help Shane
