Color (Dynamic ? )of Label based on parameter value - Table Chart

    Karthikeyan Masialamani

      All,

I have a report where I show the customer name (if the user choose 'Customer' value from the parameter) or Segment name if they choose 'Segment' from the parameter.

Note I just used Sample Superstore only as data source. 10.5 Tableau version.

I have created a calculated variable and written something below.

Name of the calculated field : Customer/Segment

If [Color] = 'Customer' then [Customer Name]

      Else [Segment] ENd

Then I dragged this in ROWs shelf.

Now I want to change the color of Calculated field name i.e., 'Customer/Segment' based on Parameter value.

If I choose Customer (from the parameter) then 'Customer' should be in Blue color and '/Segment' should be in hash color as below.

      Customer/Segment

If I choose Segment ( from the parameter) then 'Segment' should be in Blue color and 'Customer/' should be in hash color as below.

      Customer/Segment

How to achieve this in Tableau ? Inputs are welcome!

      ThanksKarthik M
