Complex Waterfall Chart in Tableau – GeekPedia
However, my real data is a bit different because I create measures (revenue, returns, ebitda) based off current columns; whereas in his examples, all of the information is pre populated.
When I do the cross join by using a 1=1 dummy data set (with headers as measures) it results in the data being multiplied manyfold. How can I still do what he is doing with my data?

Do you have an example of the original data and the cross joined data? The data here is very sparse with no unique fields to identify the cartesian product.
