Could you try maybe re-publishing the data source and embedding the credentials again?
It looks as if it's trying to the find the source data but there's restricted access for some reason.

The datasource and the credentials are both embedded in the dashboard so no datasource is published to the server separately. The thing is that restarting the server resolves the issue for some time which means that the connection string to the data source and privileges are correct, right ?
Uploading the data sources to Tableau server separately seems to work. However, it would be great if someone explains to me what was the issue with embedded data sources and snowflake?

one workaround to solve this is to change the connection parameters in the machine hosting Tableau Server. The parameter is called `CLIENT_SESSION_KEEP_ALIVE` you need to change it to `TRUE` (default is `FALSE`). If your Tableau Server is installed on a Windows machine a Windows registry change is required. Otherwise, you need to change it from odbc.ini.
