-remove you Date filter
-create a Date parameter for the Date selection
-create the following filter
DATEDIFF('day', [Date],[Date Param] ) >= 0 AND DATEDIFF('day', [Date],[Date Param] ) <= -[Period]
-keep the true values

Hope this helps , just change the parameter to -30 you will get the view dynamically.

i am sorry i forgot to mention that Date parameter is not a option because
the ending date filter should show the max date of data source by default unless user selects his choice of end /max date.
Parameter will stick to the date selected while saving last development effort, it wont automatically change to max date from the data source.
