# coloring totals and subtotals which are only 0

Hi team
i want to color the grand totals which are "0" using a condition

• ###### 1. Re: coloring totals and subtotals which are only 0

Hi Sunil,

I achieve got this:

In order to do it I had to pivot the S1, S2 and S3 columns to make them one "S" column and a "S Type" column (1, 2 or 3).

And then simply add a "Color condition" for S Sum:

If sum([S])=0 then "Color" else "No color" END

Then this condition is used to determine the color.

Best!

(Hope it helps you, if so, please give a star )

Thank you Eddson for your timely response but i would like to color only the grand totals which are "0" ..
Because using this makes me to color entire "0" .

HI Sunil

First of all, your data structure is not Tableau friendly and better pivot from edit data source.

If data source does not allow it, need to set color condition for 3 each measure of S1~S3 respectively with putting three place holders (example On Sheet 3)

Specify the G.total with first()= last()

Thanks,

Shin

Thank you Shin ,it worked.

also i request your suggestion if it is possible to color the entire cell for all grand totals which shows up 0.

Put placeholders of "1" with chart type square.

If this helped, please mark my answer as correct to close the thread, not from inbox view but from original post.
