    Validating two seperate data sources

    Marc S

      Hello all-

First off, thanks for having me here. I am new to Tableau for work and have loved reading many of these forum posts while I learn.

      Now onto my question....

For a project of mine, I am trying to automate a way to let me know if two seperate data sources (which should be near identical) have differences and to show me what those are. So for a quick example:

      DS1

      Name  -----  Age

      John ------ 22

      Rick ------ 53

      Amy ------ 33

      Ujjval ---- 27

      and DS2 has

      Name  -----  Age

      John ------ 29

      Rick ------ 53

      Amy ------ 33

      Ujjval ---- 27

      ANDREW ----- 44

Is there a way I can have Tableau notify me that one of the names vs age (column and row association) has changed ie; John's age AND that DS2 has an extra row with the name Andrew that is not in the first data source? Not quite sure if this is possible or not...

And yes, I did search both google and the forums before posting this, I'm not that much of a novice

      Thanks y'all!

      Best,

      MS
