I just gave it a try and it seems to be working fine for me. Do you also have the latest version of Tableau Desktop also installed on your mac ?
If you have everything installed it should work, I suggest opening a case with the support team.
I hope you have already solved your problem. But if not, since I had the same problem as you, I can share my recipe. I managed to connect by specifying the server IP address in the field "Server" as well as the service name, which is usually optional. Then it all worked.
