Creating Dual Lines and Dual Axis Comparing AVG(Sales) for ONE Category vs AVG(Sales) All Categories

    Douglas Brockbank

      See example here, http://onlinehelp.tableau.com/v10.5/pro/desktop/en-us/help.htm#qs_secondary_axes.html?Highlight=Dual Axis

I want to modify this example so that my dual axis shows the AVG(Sales) of ONE Category(e.g. Furniture) vs the AVG(Sales) of ALL Categories.

Here's what I have so far:

      Columns: MONTH(Order Date)

      Rows: AVG(Sales), AVG(Sales)

      Filters: Category

      Marks: Category (is colored)

Note, if I select the first AVG(Sales) and click Tooltip it says,

Month of Order Date: <MONTH(Order Date)>

      Avg. Sales: <AVG(Sales)>

Note, if I select the second AVG(Sales) and click Tooltip it says,

      Category: "Furniture"

Month of Order Date: <MONTH(Order Date)>

      Avg. Sales: <AVG(Sales)>

The problem is that the second (AVG(Sales) doesn't seem to work

If I can get it to work, then I can create do the dual-axis.
