# Minimum sales across cat & subcat

Hello Koushik,

My solution is,

1. create a calculated field as RANK(SUM([Sales]),'asc')

Please refer to the screenshot for details.

2. change the calculated field to Dimension.

3. filter and only keep 1

Likely many ways to do this, but here's one using Table Calculations:

You'll want to make sure the Compute using is set by Pane (down):

As other people say and show, there are two measure approaches.

LOD and table calculation

Which is better? that depends on various situations, but in this case, both methods work.

I just prefer LOD than table calc because of the stability. (Table clc always requires individual order setting)
