Created Extract in Desktop; Get error communicating with data source

    Rob Walker

I upgraded to 1.5.3 today. I created 2 extracts in Tableau from survey data that the source was Excel. I used the Pivot option and then extracted.

When I go back to join them I get the : An error occurred while communicating with the data source. unable to connect to the server.

      below is the error:

[3] PQresultStatus: 7 ERROR: Error while reading TDE C:/Users/rwalker/Documents/My Tableau Repository/Datasources/DR_JustSo_Labels.tde: bad magic number [SQL State: 22000] [Severity: ERROR] [Primary message: Error while reading TDE C:/Users/rwalker/Documents/My Tableau Repository/Datasources/DR_JustSo_Labels.tde: bad magic number]

Unable to connect to the server "". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.

The extracts are on my PC so not a networking problem. Any assistance would be great.

      Thanks
