# How do I sort out rows from two different stages?

Hi!

I have a table where I would like to sort out the maximum dates for each ID, see table 1.

Table 2 is the results I would like to have. Right now shows all three values for ID 96 and both values for ID 135. My guess is that is some sort of Filter-solution but I can't figure it out... I have tried with Maximum(Date) but then only receives the latest one for 96, not any value for ID 135. I have also tried Maximum(Month(Date)) but then receives two values for ID 96 and one value for ID 135.

How I do I solve this problem?

Thank you so much for your help!

you want the max date for each NAME (Project) so you could try this example from superstore

Hi Lisa,

You could use a LOD calculation, such as fixed? More details on LODs here: Top 15 Tableau LOD Expressions (Practical Examples)

For this example, you could  do { FIXED [ID] : MAX([Date])}

This means that for every ID, you're trying to find the max date.

Then I'd recommend creating a boolean calculation where date = { FIXED [ID] : MAX([Date])}. Then use this filter only when it's 'True'

Thanks,

Mavis
