Color discrete measures with negative number in red and positive number in black

Hello,

I want to know how we can color discrete measures negative number in red and positive number in black? I know that I can realize the red, black color difference if I use measure names and measure values. But in one of my reports, I need to put one dimension like the state in the middle with measure numbers display on both sides of the dimension. In this way I have to make measures in discrete to realize the display style. But with the style, I can't do the red, black color difference if I put measure number in discrete. Is there any way we can do the color difference with discrete measures? Please see the sample screen shots  and attached the sample workbook.  Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Nancy,

I've applied the colours using a calculated field;

But I'm not sure this is what you are looking for. AFAIK you can't colour a dimensional value (or a title), only measures. Unfortunately this includes measures when you are using them as dimensions.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your suggestion and the helpful info. I tried the calculated field like yours before, but it didn't work. The result displays below.

Thank you.

Best regards

Hi Nancy,

The reason is that you try to color header instead of text. For header coloring you should use formatting. For text you can apply all other stuff.

Trust this helps.

Hi dimitriy,

Thanks for your response. It is good to know the header formatting principle. I'll keep continuing to try.

Best Regards
